Shamrocks to host Kinde North Huron in Football Semi-Final

The St. Patrick Shamrocks will host the Warriors of Kinde North Huron this Saturday at Portland High School in the MHSAA 8-Player Football State Semi-Finals. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 and will be live streamed on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/portlandstpatrick/).

The Shamrocks enter the game with a perfect 9-0 record on the season. Kinde North Huron comes in with an 8-1 record. Both teams last contests were on November 14th before the MHSAA playoffs were put on hold due to COVID-19 concerns.

The winner will advance to face the winner of the Powers North Central and Marion game in the 8-Player Division 2 Championship. That game is scheduled to be played at the Legacy Center in Brighton on Saturday, January 16th, with an estimated kick-off time of 5:30 PM.

All remaining MHSAA football playoff games will have very strict spectator limits. According to the MHSAA, “Football teams will receive 125 tickets, to be divided among game participants for purchase by immediate family members”. Games will also have spectator social distancing and mask requirements.
