Coaches Comments

Jocelyn Rockey said, “Tonight we played the exact way our coaching staff would like to expect out of our players. The girls approached the plate aggressively and put almost every at bat in play. Great things happen when you get on base and then work aggressively around the bases. When you string those together and you have yourself in great scoring position you can then take advantage of the situation you’ve created.”

Rockey added, “Defensively, the girls made plays and communicated effectively. Our pitchers were fantastic this evening and both Carly and Rylee were able to complete several outs on their own. This is a testament to both girls’ work out of season, our favorite pitching coach, Mr. Mackowski, and their dedication to the program. Carly and Rylee entered the season ready to play and have led our team fiercely. While our season hasn’t been long, it’s been filled with learning curves and adjustments and tonight offered us several positive reinforcements in the direction we would like to head moving forward.”
