Shamrock Softball gets two wins at Dansville

St. Patrick Varsity Softball traveled to the Dansville Aggies on Thursday. Recent scores within the league indicates that tonight would be one of biggest hitting competitions. The Shamrocks won both games and advance to 17-1. Game 1: St. Patrick 9 - Dansville 4 Rylee Scheurer pitched game one and added 6 strikeouts against the Aggies. Lydia Meredith went 2/2 with 2 RBIs, Carly Scheurer went 2/4 with 2 RBIs, Laynie Meredith with 3/4, Natalee Teachworth went 2/4 with a Home Run and 2 RBIs, and Rylee Scheurer added two RBIs. Game 2: St. Patrick 7 - Dansville 3 Carly Scheurer pitched game two and added 3 strikeouts. Lydia Meredith went 3/3 with 2 RBIs, Hayley Fleischer went 1/1, and Mara Schrauben added an RBI. Coaches Comments: Watching the league scores come in each week is fun and exciting as we prep for each game. We knew Dansville would be aggressive at the plate and that they would be working our pitchers this evening. Rylee and Carly did a great job of moving locations and pitches to keep the Aggies off the base path. Addie was amazing behind the plate as always, and our defense stepped up when Dansville had runners in scoring position. Natalee’s home run was a spark in game 1, and Lydia and Laynie hit phenomenal this evening. We consider Dansville as a top contender in our league and our practices prepping for the game were beneficial and proactive. We celebrate two big wins tonight as we shift focus to Potterville and Fulton next week.
