Shamrock Softball drops two to Dansville, wins Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart Tournament

The St. Patrick’s Girls Varsity Softball team finished the CMAC league matchups on May 14th with a doubleheader loss in Dansville. The Shamrocks lost 1-10 in Game 1, and 0-11 in Game 2.
In game one, Macie Leonard pitched and had three strikeouts, Gracelyn Rockey had a homerun, and Maria Austen and Lily Sandborn both added a hit. In game two, Kennedy Drake and Gracelyn Rockey pitched four strikeouts against the Aggies.
The Shamrocks traveled to Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart on May 16th. In game one, the Shamrocks defeated the #4 State Ranked Irish team, 14-5. Macie Leonard and Gracelyn Rockey pitched 4 strikeouts. At the plate, Gracelyn Rockey went 3/3 with 4 runs, 5 RBIs, 2 doubles, 5 SBs, and a homerun. Naomi Hass had 2 RBIs and a homerun. Marian Davlin had a double and 2 RBIs, Macie Leonard went 1/2 and added an RBI, and Izzy Anthony had a triple and an RBI.
In game two, the team lost to Traverse City St. Francis 5-6 at the bottom of the 7th. Gracelyn Rockey went 2/3 with 2 RBIs, 3 SBs, and 2 DBLs. Marian Davlin went 2/3 with 1 RBI. Lily Sandborn went 1/3 and had 2 SBs.
The Shamrocks came out Tournament Champions after each team went 1-1, and SP allowed the least amount of runs scored.
