Shamrock boys outlast Potterville

On Tuesday, February 4th the Shamrocks of Portland St. Patrick travelled to Potterville for a CMAC matchup. Both teams played hard throughout, but the Shamrocks outlasted the Vikings and won the game 53-51.
In the first quarter, Potterville came out ahead, winning the quarter 15-14. Brayden Simon led the Shamrocks with 7 points.
The Second quarter was another close one, with a ton of scoring, but the Shamrocks were just too much for the Vikings, winning the quarter 16-12 and taking a 30--27 lead into halftime. Brayden Simon continued to dominate, scoring 10 in the quarter to lead St. Patrick.
After the half, the Shamrocks continued to pound away, taking another quarter 15-11 and leading 45-38 after three quarters of play. Jerryd Scheurer and Brayden Simon both had 5 points in the quarter.
The final quarter saw continued hard play from both teams, with Potterville surging and outscoring the Shamrocks 13-8 but coming up short in the game. Charlie Thelen led the Shamrocks with 5 points.
Leaders for the Shamrocks were Brayden Simon with 25 points 8 rebounds and 1 assist, Charlie Thelen had 11 points 6 rebounds 1 assist and 4 steals, Jerryd Scheurer had 8 points 6 rebounds and 5 assists, Tyler Thelen had 4 points 7 Rebounds and 1 assist, and Landon Simpson had 3 points 3 rebounds 4 assists and 3 steals.
The Shamrocks are playing Perry on Friday, February 6th at Home.
