Shamrock boys lose to Potterville
On Tuesday, January 11th the Potterville Vikings travelled to Portland to play the St Patrick Shamrocks. The Viking defense stifled the Shamrocks and Potterville ended up winning 61-31.
In the first quarter, defense was the name of the game, with St. Patrick only scoring 4, but also holding Potterville to 10.
The Second quarter saw a little bit of offensive spark, with the Shamrocks scoring 11, but Potterville extended their lead by scoring 13, leaving the score 23-15 at the half. 5 players scored for St. Patrick.
After the half, the Shamrocks again struggled offensively, only able to put in three points, all from Cole Kinsman, while the Vikings put in 13 and extended their lead 36-18.
In the final quarter, Potterville found their shooting stroke, putting in 25 with the Shamrocks putting in 13.
Offensive leaders for the Shamrocks were Braxton Teachworth with 8 points 11 rebounds and 4 blocks, Cole Kinsman with 7 points 3 rebounds and 2 steals, and Brayden Simon with 4 points 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
