Shamrock boys advance to District Finals

On Tuesday, March 23rd the Shamrocks travelled to Lansing Christian for a rematch against the Fowler Eagles. It took a buzzer beater from Shane Cook to beat the Eagles a week ago, but this time the Shamrocks weren't messing around, and won handily 44-30.
In the first quarter, the Eagles came out hot and the Shamrocks looked rusty. Fowler jumped out to a 12-2 lead, but the Shamrocks worked it down to a 12-6 lead after the quarter. Shane Cook had 4 and Evan Schrauben had 2 for the Shamrocks.
In the second quarter, St. Patrick fought hard, and won the quarter 11-7, but were still trailing at halftime19-17. Evan Schrauben had 5 points and Shane Cook had 4 points for the Shamrocks.
After the half, the Shamrocks knew what they had to do and they got the job done, winning the quarter 13-7 and leading 30-26 after three quarters. Chase Fitzsimmons had a big quarter, scoring 6 points, and Shane Cook chipped in 5.
In the fourth quarter, the Shamrocks played good solid ball and again won the quarter 14-4. Evan Schrauben had 8 points in the quarter.
Leaders for the Shamrocks were Evan Schrauben with 17 points 5 rebounds 2 assists and 2 steals, Shane Cook with 14 points 4 rebounds 1 assist and 2 steals, and Chase Fitzsimmons with 8 points 6 rebounds and 1 block.
The Shamrocks will play Webberville on Thursday, March 25th at 7:00 pm at Lansing Christian.
