Rockey notches 1,000th career point, Lady Shamrocks top Fowler and Potterville

On Wednesday, the St. Patrick's Girls basketball teams traveled to Fowler and won an electric victory over the Eagles in double overtime, ending with the score of 51-46. The team used a solid defensive plan to hold the Eagles off for most of the game, and then executed plays in the half court offense. The Shamrocks rebounded well in the first half, and made free throws down the stretch to clinch the lead. Gracelyn Rockey led the Shamrocks with a double-double and had 25 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Marian Davlin followed with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Macie Smith followed closely with 7 points and 4 rebounds.
Wednesday evening added an additional achievement to the intense 2 OT victory. The game was also marked by the milestone of 1,000 Career Points for Gracelyn Rockey. Such an achievement is exciting for all to celebrate. The coaching staff is proud of her accomplishments within the Shamrock Program Girls Basketball program and look forward to what the future holds.
On Friday, the St. Patrick's Girls basketball teams traveled to Potterville and took a victory over the Vikings, 48-27. The team worked on balancing their scoring range and produced solid number both inside and outside of the lane. The team also challenged themselves and improved their transition defense. Macie Smith led the Shamrocks with 14 points, 7 rebounds, as well as several defensive tie ups. Gracelyn Rockey scored 13 points and had 5 rebounds, Macie Leonard followed with 11 points.
A. Dickerson was high scorer for the Vikings with 9 points.
The Shamrocks travel to Battle Creek St. Philip on Monday, with a 6:30 tipoff.
