Raider Baseball sweeps Olivet and Lakewood

The Raiders hosted DeWitt on Monday, May 11th. DeWitt won the first game 11-0, and the second game 14-3.
On Tuesday the 12th, the Raiders traveled to Olivet.
Portland 12, Olivet 2
Max Sandborn had a hot bat in the game tallying three hits and four RBIs. Brad Meyers had four hits. Decon Townsend, Connor Fox, Gunnar Williams, and Carson Simon each had two hits.
Sandborn pitched five and 2/3 innings striking out five. Ezra Faulkner and Meyers came in in relief.
Portland 3, Olivet 2
The Raiders were tied with Olivet 2-2 going into the seventh inning. A clutch double by Hudson Martin in the top of the seventh scored one and gave the Raiders the lead and eventual win.
Martin had three hits and two RBIs. Townsend and Meyers each had two hits.
Fox pitched five innings and struck out three. Meyers itched two inning and git the win.
The Raiders hosted Lakewood on Friday night.
Portland 7, Lakewood 6
In the bottom of the seventh, senior Brody Moore hit a walk-off two run home run for the Raiders to get a thrilling win.
Moore led the Raiders with two hits.
Sandborn pitched four and 2/3 innings. Meyers and Fox came in in relief.
Portland 11, Lakewood 6
A series of miscues by the Lakewood defense allowed the Raiders to score 11 runs on just four hits in the second game of the day.
Moore, Williams Gavin Werner, and Mason Vallier each had one hit for Portland.
Fox, Vallier, Meyers and Faulkner each saw action on the mound combining for five strike outs.
Portland is now 16-9-1 on the season. They will face Haslett on Monday at 5:00 at MSU in the Diamond Classic.
