Raider Baseball Splits at Lakewood Invitational

On Saturday the Raider baseball team traveled to Lakewood to take on Lakewood and Marshall.

Portland 6 – Lakewood 3

Trent Trierweiler and Marc Nobis each had two hits for Portland, while Grant Ruddy (triple), Hunter Morris (doble), Reese Townsend and Brady Bush each had one hit. Nobis pitched three and 1/3 striking out six, with Trierweiler coming in to close it out.

Marshall 7 – Portland 3

Bush and Townsend would each hit doubles for Portland, while Ruddy and Trierweiler also had hits. Morris pitched three and 1/3 striking out three and Bush pitched two and 2/3 striking out seven.

The Raiders travel to Charlotte on Tuesday and return home on Thursday to face Saranac. They are scheduled to play in a tournament at Ionia on Saturday.
