Raider Baseball improves to 9-3 with two wins over Lakewood

The Portland High School varsity baseball team faced Lakewood for two league match-ups on Tuesday. Portland won both contests.
Game 1: Portland 11, Lakewood 0
The Portland offense combined for 13 hits in the first game of the night.
Gunnar Williams (two triples) and Brody Moore each had three hits. Tyler Smith (double) and Max Sandborn (double) each had two hits.
Evan Thelen got the win on the mound pitching three innings while striking out six and allowing just one hit. Sandborn got the save pitching two innings and holding Lakewood to just one hit.
Game 2: Portland 5, Lakewood 3
Paul Roberts got the win pitching in game two for Portland. He went seven innings while striking out 10 batters.
Barrett Brennan (two RBIs), Hudson Martin, and Levi Nobis each had two hits in the game.
