Portland Twp. Voting Information
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Portland Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the Township Clerk’s office, the office of the County Clerk, a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/registervoter
The last day to register for the November 3 election, in any manner other than in-person with the Township Clerk is Monday, October 19, 2020.
After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency with the Portland Township Clerk. Please contact her at 517-647-6643 or portownship@att.net to schedule an appointment to do so.
She will also be available:
• Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
• Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2020
A request for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you must be received by the Township Clerk by 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020. You may obtain an absentee ballot in person with the Township Clerk until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020. The Clerk will be available on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 7:00 am-3pm to receive in person requests. Please call the Township Clerk at 517.647.6643 with any questions or to request an absentee ballot application.
Completed absentee ballots can be returned to the drop box at 9774 E. Goodwin Road, Pewamo, MI 48873 from 6:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M.. Ballots may also be returned by U.S. mail.
Registered voters in Portland Township can vote in person on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Westwood School. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
