Portland St Patrick Girls Cross Country takes 5th at Regional

On Friday at the cross country regional meet in Webberville, the Portland St Patrick girls team placed a best ever 5th place, just one point away from 4th place. Laynie Meredith finished in 5th place, qualifying for the state meet next Saturday. Cozie Brown finished in 10th place also qualifying for the state meet.


Lydia Meredith and Olivia Pung missed qualifying by a few places. Arianna FoxElster also scored for the team.


Laynie and Cozie will run at the state championship meet at MIS this Saturday at 9:30 am. For the boys team, Martin White had a solid race. TJ Chamberlain and Isaac FoxElster were moved to varsity from the middle school team and both had solid performances.
