Portland Softball sweeps Lakewood

The Portland High School varsity softball traveled to Lakewood on Tuesday for a CAAC White double header. The Raiders defeated Lakewood in both games.
Game 1: Portland 20, Lakewood 3
The Raiders combined for 25 hits in this five-inning win. Senior Bailee Fish had four hits in the game, including a double and a grand slam. Rylee Miller had four hits with two doubles and two RBIs. Anna Morris had four hits. Lilly Thelen and Autumn Reffitt (double) each had three hits in the game.
Bella Spitzley got the win pitching for Portland. She threw all five innings striking out two and allowing just four hits.
Game 2: Portland 5, Lakewood 1
Spitzley struck out four on her way to a seven-inning win in game two.
Morris and Veda Smith led the Raider offense with two hits each.
