Portland Softball Splits with Ionia

The Lady Raiders hosted the Bulldogs of Ionia on Tuesday night.
Game 1: Ionia 7, Portland 6
The teams were tied 6-6 going into the final inning, but Ionia scored the go ahead run to pick up the 7-6 win.
Lilly Thelen and Rylee Miller each had two hits for the Raiders. Willa Almy and Bella Spitzley each added two hits.
Molly Miilu pitched seven innings and struck out six batters.
Game 2: Portland 8, Ionia 2
The Raiders tallied 15 hits in the game. Thelen led the offense with four hits. Miilu, Miller, Carley Bower, and Brynn Nelson each added two hits.
Spitzley got the win in the circle striking out four batters.
The Raiders are now 4-4 on the season. They will face Lansing Catholic on Thursday.
