The 2024 Portland High School Softball team finished the season with a 22-9 record and a District Championship. With several returning starters, the Raiders look to build on that success for the 2025 season.
Sixth year head coach Brandee Novara told the Beacon, “Our goal this year is to win a league and district championship. We have a lot of returning starters and are hoping to capitalize on their experience. The girls have put a lot of time and hard work in, in the offseason.”
Mid-Michigan Community College signee Bailee Fish will lead the team as a four-year starting catcher. Bella Spitzley will be in her third year as a starting pitcher for the Raiders. Autumn Reffit and Anastasia Seidelman will both be in their fourth year as starts for the Portland team. Novara added, “We also look forward to Lilly Thelen, Claire Lyon and Rylee Miller as three-year starters.”
