Portland’s Mark Brooks key in WMU’s 3-0 start
The Western Michigan University football team is off to an impressive 3-0 start this season. The Bronco’s explosive offensive has scored 58, 41, and 52 points in its first three games.
A WMU football post to Facebook on November 21st states that the Bronco offense is:
14th in NCAA in fewest sacks allowed
2nd in NCAA in scoring offense
10th in NCAA in total offense
Portland High School alum Mark Brooks is playing a key role in the team’s successful start. The 6’ 6” 295-pound red shirt senior is a starting offensive tackle for the Broncos.
The Broncos defeated rival CMU 52-44 this past Wednesday in the annual CMU vs WMU contest. Their next game is Saturday, November 28th when they host Northern Illinois at 12:00. That game is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+.
