Portland’s Carter Rosier joining MSU Drumline
2021 PHS graduate Carter Rosier has earned a spot on the prestigious Michigan State University drumline.
PHS music director Mike Sulecki told the Beacon, “This is a huge deal and he had to work very hard for years to make it.”
According to the organization’s website, “The 300-member Spartan Band is one of the oldest and most recognized university marching bands in the country. The band was founded in 1870 as a 10-member student group, and since then has grown into one of the premiere college bands in the nation.”
Carter is not the only member of the Rosier family to earn on spot with the MSU drumline. His father, David Rosier was a member in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
