The Portland Foundation for Public Education (PFPE) is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Clays for Classrooms fundraising event, set for April 18 at the Capital Area Sportsmen’s League.
After a highly successful inaugural year, Clays for Classrooms quickly became one of PFPE’s largest and most impactful fundraisers, bringing together community members, local businesses, and supporters for a fun day of friendly competition — all while raising vital funds for Portland Public School classrooms and staff.
PFPE is a group of dedicated community members committed to making a meaningful impact for local students and educators. The organization’s mission is to enrich educational experiences by funding programs, activities, and opportunities that inspire every learner.
During the 2025–2026 school year alone, PFPE has already awarded more than $10,000 directly to classrooms and teachers across the district. These funds have supported a wide range of initiatives, including:
Grade-level field trips
Classroom library enhancements
Expanded STEM learning opportunities
Third-grade water safety instruction
And many other projects that directly benefit students and teachers
Events like Clays for Classrooms make these opportunities possible.
PFPE would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to last year’s company teams and generous sponsors, including Trane, Kingscott Associates, Clark Construction, GRBS, Myers Plumbing, Sandborn Construction, and Definable Solutions. Your participation and financial support played a critical role in the event’s success and in helping us deliver meaningful resources to local classrooms.
We would also like to thank the following businesses for their generous donations of raffle items: Tom’s Food Center, Family Farm and Home, Grand Hearing Center, Centennial Acres Golf Course, and Ledge Meadows Golf Course. Their contributions added to the excitement of the event and helped increase the overall impact for our schools.
We are grateful for the continued investment of our local business community in Portland’s students and schools.
Community members and businesses interested in participating or sponsoring this year’s event are encouraged to get involved and help make an even greater impact in 2026.
