Portland Foundation for Public Education awards Mini-Grants
Recently, The Portland Foundation for Public Education awarded mini-grants to several classes throughout the District. Lindsey Bos’ 4th grade class received a $250 grant for rock tumblers for science curriculum. Sadie Bower’s 1st grade classroom received a $250 grant to provide her students with more flexible seating options, and the entire 5th grade received a $1,500 grant to offset a substantial portion of the cost for the students to attend a field trip to Greenfield Village.
In addition to classroom grants and mini-grants, the PFPE awards eight scholarships annually to graduating seniors to further their education after high school.
