Portland Football tops Ovid-Elsie is season opener

The Portland High School football team hosted Ovid-Elsie on Thursday in opening night action of the 2022 high school football season. The Raiders earned a decisive 38-8 victory.

Portland senior running back Drew Miller led the Raiders with three touchdowns on the night, one rushing and two receiving. Senior quarterback Marc Nobis and junior running back Connor Kazamer each had one rushing touchdown for the Raiders.

On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore defensive back Barrett Brennan led the Raiders with eight tackles and one fumble recovery. Miller added six tackles for Portland.
