Portland Community Fund Association announces 2020 Christmas Giving Program
The Portland Community Fund Association provides a Christmas dinner to families and individuals and gifts for minor children that reside with the Portland School District. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, November 17th. It’s a quick turn around as we want to make gift tags for your child’s gift to be placed on the Giving Trees before the after Thanksgiving holiday shopping begins.
Christmas applications are available online at portlandcommunityfund.org which is the recommended way to submit an application. Applications are also available at the schools, churches, Portland City Hall, Portland Area Service Group, Tom’s Pharmacy, Portland Food Bank, Portland Apartments, the Portland District Library and the food bank located at the Congregational Church.
New for 2020- Pickup will be appointment only drive thru and those requesting gifts need proof of guardianship for each child. Gifts will be pre-bagged and loaded into your vehicle by PCFA volunteers. You must stay in your vehicle.
All applicants must chose an appointment time slot with Signup Genius that fits your schedule to pickup your dinner and/or gifts between 9am - 3pm on Thursday, December 17th at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 690 Maynard Road, Portland, MI. Information on how to do this is on the application.
All applicants must provide documentation at check in of: photo ID, proof of residency and proof of guardianship for children receiving gifts. More information is on the application.
