Portland Civic Players Announce Tickets on sale now for Spring Production of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express

The Portland Civic Players are excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for their spring production, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, adapted for stage by Ken Ludwig.

Tickets are $12 each. Performances are March 15 and 23 at 7:30 PM and March 16, 17 and 24 at 2:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased on the Portland Civic Players website at or by calling the box office at 517-647-4041.  Box Office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8.

Directed by Mary Teachout (Beauty and the Beast and Shrek) and assisted by Laurie Reeves (stage manager for Beauty and the Beast and Shrek), Murder on the Orient Express is a classic whodunnit with the added bonus of Ken Ludwig comedy.

Set on the luxury train, the Orient Express, leaving out of Istanbul, our well-known detective Hercule Poirot, played by Clay Ramsey, is just trying to have a bit of a vacation but it is not in the cards.  When an avalanche strikes, so does the murderer! With a train full of suspects and each one with an alibi how will Poirot figure it out?

The cast of characters is rounded out with Dan Braker as Monsiuer Bouc, Lydia Bowling as Mary Debenham, Emily Perry as Princess Dragomiroff, Alex Port as Hector McQueen, Amber Miller as Greta Ohlsson, Deb Hattis as Countess Andrenyi, Erin Hoard as Helen Hubbard, Aaron Swan as Colonel Arbuthnot, Antonius Watkins as Samual Ratchett, and Emerson Dibean as Michele the Conductor.

Thank you to this year’s VIP sponsor PFCU.

Murder on the Orient Express is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

See you at the theater!
