Portland Boys top Charlotte

On Friday night, the PHS boys basketball team hosted the Charlotte Orioles. The Raiders would earn a 55-33 win.
Portland was led by freshman Chris Battley with 16 points. Freshman Dom Novara added 12 points including three three-pointers. Senior Dalton Becker added nine points for Portland.
Charlotte was led by sophomore Ben Buzzard with nine points.

After dropping their season opener to Lakewood 60-45 on Tuesday, the Raiders are now 1-1 on the season. Next week they travel to Ovid-Elsie on Monday, then to Ionia on Friday.
