Portland Baseball splits with East Lansing

On Thursday, the Portland High School baseball team traveled to East Lansing for a non-conference double header.  Each team would end up getting one win.

East Lansing won game one 6-5.  Both teams were tied 5-6 in the bottom of the seventh, but the Trojans were able to eke out the win.  M Sandborn #24 went six and 2/3 inning on the mound.

B Brennen #4, E Thelen #2 and B Moore each had two hits in the game.

The Raiders won the second game of the night, 3-1.  G Williams got the win on the mound going seven innings and striking out five.

E Thelen led the Raider offense going two for four with a double and one RBI.

The Raiders are now 13-5 on the season and have a double header at Holt this evening.
