It's really happening...Portland is becoming a gigabit city! HomeWorks Connect, the fiber internet and phone division of HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative, broke ground today on its project to construct a city-wide gigabit fiber network to provide internet and phone services to City residents and businesses. Gathered on Blossom Street for the momentous occasion are (left to right) Portland Electric Superintendent Todd Davlin, HomeWorks President/CEO Chris O'Neill, Portland Finance Director Mindy Tolan, HomeWorks Business Development Manager Brandon Trierweiler, HomeWorks CIO Tom Manting, HomeWorks CFO/COO Pat Simmer, and Portland City Manager Tutt Gorman. Customer connections in the City of Portland are planned to begin occurring as early as late summer or early fall 2023. To learn more, visit HomeWorks.org/Portland.
