PHS Girls Cross Country results from CAAC White Jamboree #3
The Girls Cross Country team had an incredible performance at the CAAC White Jamboree #3 on October 17 at Cornwell’s Turkeyville in Marshall! Leading the pack was standout Senior Avery Wezensky, who finished 6th overall with an impressive personal record of 20:00—25 seconds faster than her previous best.
The personal records continued to shine as Paige Weber achieved a 28-second PR with a time of 20:50, while Lauren Spitzley set a 35-second PR at 21:38. Karagan Calley followed closely with a 33-second PR of 22:14. Josephine Polasek made a strong showing with a 15-second PR (22:21), and Izzy Fedewa ran a solid 23:24, improving by 12 seconds.
Anna Health finished at 24:28, securing a 19-second PR, and Veda Smith had an impressive 39-second PR, crossing the line at 24:33. Claire Lyon came close to a season record with a time of 24:44, while Abby Seavey set a remarkable 50-second season record at 27:29. Willa Almy also achieved a 12-second season record at 27:36, and Brynn Nelson celebrated a fantastic PR by 1:22, finishing at 27:54. Peyton Rockey continued her progress with a 39-second PR, completing the race in 28:27.
The team secured a strong 3rd place finish in the final conference standings, with Avery Wezensky and Paige Weber earning All-Conference honors. A huge thank you to Seniors Avery Wezensky and Anna Health for their leadership and contributions to the program. Their dedication has set a solid foundation for future success!
