PHS Bowling recap from Olivet and CAAC Singles Tournament

On Friday, the varsity girls bowling team moved to 10-1 on the season with a forfeit from Olivet.

 

The boys varsity team faced a tough opponent in Olivet. But were able to move to 11-0 with a 22-8 victory.  Portland had team games of 971 and 961 for the highest two game series of the season.  High game of the day was a 226 from our only senior on the varsity team, Jack McBride.  Eli Dakin was high series with a 402.  This was a total team effort as the low series was a 360 which is still a 180 average.

 

On Sunday both varsity teams competed in the conference singles tournament. No bowler made match play but Lily Keller finished tied for 16th. Savanah Sutton finished in 21st and Keira Moffatt finished in 27th.

 

On the boys side Nate Pierce was the high bowler finishing 20th. Zack McAllister finished tied for 27th.
