PFCU Credit Union’s Cash for Classrooms Program is in its sixth year and continues to support local teachers during the months of January through May. During this time teachers are nominated to win $150 to be used on any expenses or needs they have for their classroom.
PFCU supported 25 teachers with a total of $3,750 this year. To further honor teachers through this program, PFCU surprised five additional teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4th-8th, with a Cash for Classrooms donation for their classroom expenses and a donation of school supplies to be shared by their school.
The credit union’s goal is to recognize the dedication and hard work of teachers throughout the communities they serve. The credit union hopes that this small gesture can help make an impact in local classrooms. A recent Cash for Classrooms winner shared, “I cannot wait to order several new books for my students. I appreciate this money so much!”
Future announcements regarding PFCU’s Cash for Classrooms program can be found each year on their website, pfcu4me.com. To be eligible to win, the applicant must be a current full-time, part-time or substitute teacher of Pre-K-12 at a public, private or charter school.
