Obituary for Warren Harper Danielson


Warren Harper Danielson was born September 17, 1924 to Russel and Myrtle Danielson in Detroit. He went to be with his Lord on January 19, 2021 at his home in Portland, Michigan.


Warren was the “First Spouse” for 20 years at the First Congregational Church of Portland and more recently, The First Congregational Church of Lake Odessa.


He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dottie; brother, Wesley Danielson; brother-in-law, Byron Cobb; and sisters-in-law, Irene Willett, Doris Emmett, and Joan Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Rev. Dr. Marilyn Danielson; his two adult daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Steckler of Northlake, Texas and Lori (Joe) Beregszaszy of New Haven, Michigan; grandchildren, Christopher (Ben) Ramirez of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Zachary (Katie) Steckler of Lowell, Michigan, and Carrie (Brice) Gaertig of Texas; his adult step-children, Andrea (Steve) Allen of Englewood, Florida, Dr. Bruce (Annabel) Saint Amour Salem, Virginia; and Thomas (Jamie) Saint Amour Portland, Michigan; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews; in-laws and friends.


Warren’s Memorial Service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Lake Odessa on January 31, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. with visitation being held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Please wear a mask when attending the visitation and service. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Lake Odessa or Lansing/Ionia Area Hospice in honor of Warren.
