Obituary for Ryan Scott Humphrey

Ryan S. Humphrey passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age 54. He was born on September 6, 1971. He attended college at CMU, where he earned a double major in statistics and actuarial science. Ryan was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed bowling and coached the Portland girls bowling team. He also enjoyed trivia, board games, Strat-O-Matic baseball, and fantasy football and baseball.

Ryan married Kim (Spitzley) on November 9, 2002, and together they shared two daughters: Sarah (Shane) and Anna.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael, and his mother Shari Gardener.

He is survived by his wife and daughters; his brother, Tod; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Juanita Spitzley; his brother-in-law, Jon; his nieces, Cassie and Tori; and his nephews, Jesse and Zach.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 1:00 p.m., presided over by Deacon Randy Hodge at Lehman Funeral Home, 210 East Bridge Street. A luncheon will follow at The Wagon Wheel, 7888 East Grand River Avenue, Portland.
