Obituary for Patrick Robert Hoppes

Patrick Robert Hoppes, age 60, of Portland, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on November 23, 2021. He was born on November 28, 1960, the son of Stanley and Joan (Weber) Hoppes. He recently retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. Pat loved to “run the roads” and take laps in his truck visiting friends and family alike, whether it be to share a cup of coffee or to check-in on others. He treated everyone as if they were family and would do anything to help someone in need. Pat’s greatest joy were his children and grandchildren. On August 27, 1988, he married the love of his life, Dora and they shared 33 wonderful years of marriage together.

Preceding Pat in death are his parents; brother, Luke Hoppes; and sister, Denise Hoppes. He is survived by his wife, Dora Hoppes; son, Travis (Audrey) Hoppes; daughter, Heidi Hoppes; step-daughter, Marcella Salinas; grandchildren, Xavier Hoppes, Gavin Hoppes, Michaela Will, and MacKenzie Salinas; siblings, Roxanne Burnham and Michael (Cindy) Hoppes; sister-in-law, Sandy Hoppes; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev Mike Alber at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 3:30 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E.
