Obituary for Patrick Anthony Trierweiler
Patrick Anthony Trierweiler, of Portland passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 24, 2022 at the age of 91. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, was born to Victor and Mathilda (Feldpausch) Trierweiler on March 14, 1931. Pat showcased his baseball talents, playing AAA baseball for the New York Yankees and was later inducted into the Portland High School Hall of Fame. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Fisher Body after many years of service. Pat welcomed many visitors into his home over the years, whether it be to watch his beloved Detroit Tigers or just for a chat. Pat reveled in the outdoors. He took great joy in traveling, especially when the adventure took him Up North with his family.
Preceding Pat in death are his parents; wife, Patty Trierweiler; grandson, Hartlee Lucas; siblings, Eileen Burgoyne, Mary Ann Trierweiler, Rosalyn (Thomas) Bengel, and Ken Trierweiler; and in-laws, Jean Trierweiler, Dale Stiffler, and Barry Sillman. Surviving are his children, Tony (Karen) Trierweiler, Pam (Ernie) Luna, Mike Trierweiler, Rick (Deb) Trierweiler, and Chris (Jamie) Trierweiler; grandchildren, Patrick (Aicha) Trierweiler III, Brandon (Michelle) Trierweiler, Travis Trierweiler, Kasey (Eric) Roth, Tyler Trierweiler, Kenzie Trierweiler, Nic (Sarah Potts) Luna, Craig (Lindsay) Luna, Jennifer (Chris) Vallier, Rick (LeAnn) Trierweiler, Holly Trierweiler, Trevor Trierweiler, Taylor Trierweiler, and Trenton Trierweiler; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gladys Stiffler, Kay Sillman, Roger (Sandy) Trierweiler, Charlie Trierweiler, and Vic (Donna) Trierweiler; brother-in-law, Harv (Diana) Burgoyne; and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Mike Alber at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
