Obituary for Patricia Lynn (Seal) Weatherbee


Patsy was 78 years old and lived in Portland, Michigan and passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. She was born on September 6, 1943 in Portland, Michigan. She was the youngest of 7 children of Ernest and Genevieve (Chartrand) Seal.


Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter, Staci (Randy) Rogers, her parents, siblings Marvin (Dougie) Seal, Gordon (Elizabeth) Seal, Dennis (Jan) Seal, and brother Patrick (Suzie) Seal. She is survived by her husband, Ron, son, Steve, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, brother, Thomas (Jan) Seal, sister, Carol (Al) Goodman, as well as many nieces and nephews.


Patsy graduated from Portland High School Class of 1961. Her hobby was people. She just loved helping and being around people. She had a special way of making people feel seen, important, and cared for. Her infectious laugh and bright smile lit up the room she was in. She was a strong woman who would do anything for her family and friends. She always enjoyed traveling, cooking, camping, shopping, gambling and garage sales. When you knew Patsy, it was impossible not to love her.


Patsy worked for the State of Michigan where she was a secretary for the Governor, for Union Savings and Loan, Community First Bank, and Independent Bank in Portland. She retired from the banking industry after 30 years of service.


Patsy and Ron were married in 1965 here in Portland. They built a beautiful life together and spent more than 56 years loving each other unconditionally.


A celebration of Patsy’s life will take place at the Grand River Conservation Club on February 25, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
