Obituary for Michael Lee Hodge

Michael Lee Hodge, age 71, of Portland, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Albert Hodge; brothers, Robert and Ronald Hodge and brother-in-law Jim Miller.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sherry Hodge; children, Brian (Emily) Morse and Michael (Amanda) Morse; grandchildren, Haley Morse, Mira Morse, Braxton Gonzalez, Harper Morse, and Nyssa Fortenberry; siblings: Gary (Barbara) Hodge, Irene Miller, William (Barbara) Hodge, Connie (Chuck) Carr, Linda (Douglas) Brown, and Jane (Keith) Pline; and beloved dog, Charlie (Chuck).

Mike was a lifelong fan of Michigan State basketball and football. He was an avid deer hunter and taught hunter’s safety for 20 years. He retired from Michigan Bell (AT&T) after 43 years of service.

The Funeral Service will be conducted by Deacon Randy Hodge at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
