Obituary for Michael George Fritch

Michael George Fritch, age 78, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 5, 1943, the son of George and Dorothy (Miller) Fritch. Michael enjoyed fishing, RC cars and airplanes, gardening, nature and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Fritch; brothers-in-law, Frank Winter and Leon Smith; father-in-law, Alip Winter and his mother-in-law, Gisela Winter. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Irmtraud; children, Brenda (Shawn) McBryde, Doug (Sarena) Fritch, and Mark (JoAnn) Fritch; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandra Smith, Nancy (Norbert) Ney, twin sister, Patricia (Edward) Martin, Eileen (Dave) Johnson, and Mary (Mike) Timmer; sisters-in-law, Beth Fritch, Rita Fuchs, and Irene (Fred) Mader; and many nieces and nephews. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be in Danby Cemetery.
