Joseph Roger Milhomens passed away on July 3, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1990, in Providence, Rhode Island. He later moved to San Antonio, Texas, but ultimately graduated from high school in Winslow, Maine, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Julie Wullaert. Joe served in the U.S. Army as a cook. After he was medically discharged, he spent his remaining years enjoying time with family and friends. He loved cooking, watching cooking shows, and trying new restaurants. Joe was devoted to his sons, Issac, Jayce, and Ryley, and proudly cheered them on from the sidelines. He also loved his fur babies Bella-May, Mandy Moo and Kiwi. He had an amazing sense of humor and would go above and beyond to make someone laugh or to help them out in any way.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, James Milhomens; great-grandmother, Patricia Daignault; and father-in-law, Dave Crawford.
He is survived by his wife, sons, his mother Michele Thivierge, siblings Alexander and Elizabeth; grandparents Roger and Patricia Thivierge; nephew Salem; mother-in-law Debbie Crawford; friends Katie Duke and Neenah Greenshields and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joe’s celebration of life will be held August 7, 2026 at the KC Hall in Portland from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The VFW will honor Joe with a military tribute at 3:00 p.m. In keeping with Joe’s love of comfortable clothes, please wear casual, non-funeral attire. Guests are asked to bring a dish to pass in Joe’s honor, as he loved good food.
