Obituary for Joan Marie (Brown) Guy

Joan Marie Guy, age 79, of Lake Odessa, formerly of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born on November 18, 1942, the daughter of Burton and Marian (Barton) Brown. Joan enjoyed 4H, camping, and entertaining for family and friends. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Lake Odessa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; infant son, Gerald; parents; sister, Janice (George) Livingston; and brother, Jeffery (Susan) Brown. Surviving are her children, Anne (David) Sawdy, Michael (Tracy) Guy, and Daryl (Sarah) Guy; grandchildren, Tyler Sawdy, Kyle (Chelsea) Guy, Jared and Blake Guy, Kyra (Joshua) Liparoto, Kathryn and Logan Guy; great-grandchildren, Alanna, Ashton, Addyson and Avery Guy, Julien and Mason Liparoto; sister, Anne (Fritz) Russman; brothers James Brown, Joel (Nelda) Brown, Jerrold (Judy) Brown, William (Pamela) Brown, Thomas (Cindy) Brown, Christopher (Constance) Brown, Jon Brown, Brian (Pat) Brown and Michael (Lisa) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment will be private at Sunfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home and on Friday at 10:00 a.m. until the service time.
