Obituary for Jeremy Kenneth Smith
Jeremy Kenneth Smith, of Portland, passed away August 16, 2022 at the age of 42. Jeremy touched many lives with his infectious smile and kind heart. He became an instant friend to anyone he met. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jeremy absolutely loved spending time with his family, especially his grandparents and he always made time to sit and visit with them. He shared a special bond with his father-in-law. Jeremy was thrilled to learn he was having a daughter seven years ago, while some men wish for a son, he wished to have a daughter, a “daddy’s girl”. Jeremy had a passion for motorcycles, canoeing, and hunting. Jeremy never quit until the job was done, he had a wealth of knowledge when it came to anything mechanical. He was the jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. He was a member of the Wild Injuns MC. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Joseph and Marjorie Smith, Kenneth Wheeler, and Margaret Lynn and cousins, Stacy Smith and Joshua Hoskins. Left to carry on his legacy are his wife, Angie Smith; his precious daughter, Eva Smith; mother, Lori (Terry) Lynn; father, Rick Smith; siblings, Jordan Smith, Marcy (Dan Miller) Smith, Amanda (Ben) Herta; grandmother, Vivian Wheeler; grandfather, Dan Lynn; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Kaye Setchfield; in-laws, Krisitn (Ryan) Emerick and Scott Setchfield; nieces and nephew, Keegan, Oliver, Isabel, and Lydia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Bob Beckett on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Jeremy's final ride will follow the funeral service and end at the Portland V.F.W. where the luncheon will take place. For those wishing, contributions may be made towards a college fund for Jeremy’s daughter, Eva in his memory. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
