Obituary for Janette Marie Echlin

Janette Marie Echlin, 95, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on June 16, 2025. She was born on February 20, 1930, in Portland, Michigan, to the late, Joseph Fedewa and Christine (Hoppes) Fedewa.

She liked playing bingo, cards and golfing. She had two holes in one in her lifetime. Janette also loved wintering in Orange Beach, Alabama. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. Janette loved a good social gathering with friends and family. She was a member at St. Charles Catholic Church since 1969 and was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE # 155 since 1960.

Janette is survived by, Patrick (Deb Hancock) Echlin, Linda Wright and Judi (Norm) Martines; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul K. Echlin; daughter, Chriss Echlin Hooks; eight siblings and her parents.

Memorial donation may be made out to Allen County Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association or Masses at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
