Obituary for Donald D. Dilley

Donald (Don) David Dilley, age 87, peacefully passed away on October 27, 2024 with his loving family at his bedside.  He was born on April 8, 1937 and was happily married to Nancy Dilley for over 48 years and enjoyed many years of happiness.  Don and his wife, Nancy owned their own business, Pick-A-Dilley’s for almost 25 years and truly enjoyed serving the community of Portland and the surrounding areas. He always enjoyed his time at Lake Mecosta fishing, playing cribbage and cards, working in his shed, camping, and spending time with his immediate family of over one hundred loved ones that included his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Don was the oldest, with eight siblings and too many friends to count, that he enjoyed meeting for coffee, dinner, reunions and so much more!


Don was preceded in death by his parents, Elon and Hilda Dilley, his late wife Beverly, daughter’s Terri and Christine, grandson Shaun and siblings Catherine and Iva. Surviving is his wife, Nancy Dilley, son-in-law, Ron, Deb (John), Lorri (friend Harry), Jackie and sons, David (Carrie), Greg (Tonya), and Bryan (Robyn), and son-in-law, Greg along with numerous grandchildren, great children, and great, great grandchildren.


Visitation will be held at Lehman Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Portland from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
