Obituary for Diane Elaine Russell

Diane E. Russell, age 86, of Lansing formerly of Portland, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1939 the daughter of Walter and Phyllis (Koelzer) Holly. Diane was a graduate of St. Patrick High School Class of 1958 and attended church for there for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and even made hundreds of blankets for parish functions, her family and for those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marie Russell; great grandson, Jaiveon Swinton; brother, Dennis Holly; sister, Jacqueline (Duane) Wilcox; brother-in-law, Patrick Goodman. Surviving are her sons, Scott (Elisa) Russell and Patrick (Tracey) Russell; grandchildren, Tyler Russell, Marissa (Eli Eva) Nelson-Russell, Ana Izaguirre, Hunter (Garrett) Pline, Paton (Malia) Russell, Preston Russell, Micah Russell; step grandchildren, Clarissa (Brian) Chanthavong, Christian LeViste, Cassandra LeViste, Dustin (Sammy) VanMeter and Amber Van Meter; great grandchildren Jaiden Hobbs, Jaiyana Swinton, Londyn Eva and Jiraiya; sister, Luane Goodman; sister-in-law, Lana Holly; dear lifelong friend, Judy (Jan) Baxter.

The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Logan Weber at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2026. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery.
