Obituary for David Robert Platte

David Robert Platte, age 56, of Portland, loving father, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2021. David was full of life and he treasured his family dearly. He liked music, horror films, and trees. He was also very proud of his Irish Heritage. Preceding David in death are his father, Bob Platte and his grandparents. David is survived by his son, Colin Platte; mother, Beverly Platte; sister, Pam (Bill) Kavanagh; brother, John Platte; partner, Pam Palmer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Pete Schafer at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
