Darlene Ann Hulings, age 78, of St. Johns, Michigan, passed away on August 12, 2026.

Darlene was born on June 7, 1948, in Portland, Michigan, to Edwin and Laurine Schueller.  Darlene grew up as a practicing Catholic at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia.  She shared 57 years of marriage with her husband, Philip Hulings, building a life together centered around family and the many moments and memories they shared through the years.

More than anything, Darlene loved her family and found happiness in the people closest to her. She especially treasured Christmas and looked forward to the holiday each year with an excitement that those who knew her will always remember. She could hardly wait to begin her Christmas shopping. For Darlene, the joy wasn't simply in giving a gift—it was in finding just the right one and watching the recipient's reaction when they opened it. Giving to others brought her genuine happiness, and Christmas gave her the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Philip; her daughters, Michelle (Kenneth) Jamison of Loveland, Colorado, and Rhonda (Robert) Endter of Ithaca, Michigan; her grandchildren, Kendra Jamison, Devin (Lisa) Jamison, Andrew (Brittney) Endter, Alyssa (Stefan) Varnet, Alexandra (Jesse) Andus, Austin (Emma) Endter, and Adam Endter; and her great-grandchildren, Andre, Korbin, and Vada.

She is also survived by her siblings, Larry (Nancy) Schueller, Karen (Don) Spohn, Brian (Beth) Schueller and many loved nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Laurine Schueller, as well as a brother and a sister.

For many years, Darlene endured the challenges of Multiple Sclerosis. In her memory, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are invited to consider the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A Celebration of Life honoring Darlene will be held at a future date.

Darlene will be deeply missed by the family who loved her and by all those fortunate enough to have shared in her life.
