Obituary for Almeda "Iva" Guy Obituary
Almeda Iva Guy, of Portland, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024 at the age of 82. She was born on February 21, 1942, the daughter of Elon and Hilda (Brown) Dilley. She was a proud graduate of Portland High School, where she made many lasting friendships over the years. Among her many joys in life, Iva found fulfillment in simple pleasures. She delighted in the company of a good book, the challenge of a tricky puzzle, and the task of crocheting. For numerous years, Iva graced the counters of McDonald's as a cashier. Above all, Iva's heart belonged to her family. She found her greatest joy in the company of her grandchildren and the embrace of her loved ones. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Preceding Iva in death are her parents; husband, Kenneth Guy in 1995; sister, Cathy (Fred) Schafer; and brother-in-law, Jim Winslow, Jr. Left to treasure her memory are her daughters, Patricia Guy, Tamara Feltman, Jennifer (Mike Curtis) King, and Jeanette (Mike) Lee; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and siblings, Don (Nancy) Dilley, Frank Dilley, Floyd (Marilyn) Dilley, Blanche (Larry) Powell, Beverly Winslow, Barb (Dale) Simmon, and Jimmy (Ann) Dilley.
