MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! Because everyone’s invited to the Summer Reading Kickoff Extravaganza at the Portland District Library Friday, June 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

An entire day dedicated to food, fun, swag, and Summer Reading Program registration for all-ages. And when we say all-ages, we mean it! We want everyone in the community, ages 0-100, to stop by the library to grab something to eat, enjoy our activities, and most importantly, register for this year’s reading program.

**This year’s kickoff is sponsored by the Innovative Community Library Grant, a partnership between Portland Public Schools and Portland District Library.**

Memorial Day Closing

The library will be closed on Saturday, May 27 and Monday, May 29 for the Memorial Day holiday.

Spring is All Buttoned Up

Springtime flowers are beautiful, but they never last as long as you’d like. Now you can make a colorful bouquet that will last all year. Register for a bag containing everything you need to make a beautiful button bouquet. Ages 15 and up.
