Lady Shamrocks remain undefeated

On Wednesday, January 12th, the Portland St. Patrick Shamrocks travelled to Potterville for a CMAC match against the Vikings. The Shamrocks were too much, and led the whole way, winning 43-32.


In the first quarter, the Shamrocks showed their depth, with 5 players scoring as they outscored the Vikings 14-6.


The second quarter saw Lydia Meredith continue her dominance, putting in 9 points and leading the Shamrocks to a 13-8 quarter and taking a 27-14 lead into the half.


After halftime, both teams came out with good effort, leading to a 12-12 quarter, but the Shamrocks continue to lead 39-26. Lydia Meredith scored 4, Laynie Meredith and Addison Scheurer both put in three pointers, and Rylee Scheurer added a bucket.


The final quarter was a defensive game, with the Vikings winning the quarter 6-4.


Leaders for the Shamrocks were Lydia Meredith with 17 points 6 rebounds 9 steals, Laynie Meredith with 7 points 3 rebounds 4 steals, and Katelyn Russell with 6 points 4 rebounds and 3 steals.


St. Patrick remains undefeated this season, and will defend that record next on Friday, January 14th against the Laingsburg Wolfpack at home.
