On Thursday, December 14th, the Shamrocks travelled to Fowler for a rivalry game with the Fowler Eagles. The game lived up to its reputation, but the Shamrocks couldn't pull it off, losing 69-63.

In the first quarter, both teams fought hard and the game went back and forth with the Eagles squeaking out a 14-13 lead after one quarter. Grace Rockey led the Shamrocks with 7 points.

Another tough quarter followed that one, with St. Patrick hitting a couple of threes from Rylee Scheurer and Tori Sandborn, but the Eagles extended their lead, winning the quarter 13-10 and taking a 27-23 lead into halftime.

The third quarter brought more battles, ending up in a tied quarter 20-20. Grace Rockey led the Shamrocks, putting in 10. The Eagles continued to lead 47-43 after three quarters of play.

The fourth quarter was another crazy one, with Fowler taking a 6 point lead into the final 45 seconds and the Shamrocks cut it to 2 points on a pair of steals and layups, but Fowler held on for the win, outscoring the Shamrocks 22-20 in the quarter.

Offensive leaders were Gracelyn Rockey with 20 points and 3 steals. Laynie Meredith added 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Tori Sandborn had 10 points and 5 rebounds.

St Pats returns home on Tuesday to host Potterville.
