On Monday, February 21st the (9-10) Potterville Vikings travelled to Portland to match up with the undefeated Shamrocks of Portland St. Patrick. The Shamrocks came out on fire, and ran away with the game, winning 74-29.

In the first quarter, the Shamrocks wasted no time, breaking out to a 28-8 lead after one quarter. Lydia Meredith continued her amazing senior year, scoring 10 points, just behind her was Rylee Scheurer scoring 7 points, and Katelyn Russell scoring 5 points. Carly Scheurer, Laynie Meredith, and Mara Schrauben all put in a bucket for the Shamrock offense.

In the second quarter, Lydia continued to pour on the points, scoring 9 points. Katelyn Russell was just behind her with 7 points. Laynie Meredith had 4, and Natalee Teachworth added a bucket, as the Shamrocks won the quarter 22-5, and went into halftime with a 50-13 lead.

After the half, the Shamrocks played solid but conservative basketball, only putting up 12 points, and allowing 7 from the Vikings. Laynie Meredith led St. Patrick with 5 points, and the Shamrocks took a 62-20 lead into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter brought solid defense again from the Shamrocks, holding Potterville to 9 points while scoring 12. Jamelyn Forist led the Shamrocks with 6 points.
