Lady Shamrocks dominate Bath
On Wednesday, February 17th the 1-1 Shamrocks visited Bath for a showdown with the 3-0 Bees. The Shamrocks came out looking fantastic, and dominated the Bees in every aspect of the game, winning 49-19.
In the first quarter, the Shamrock wasted no time, with a smothering defense and held the Bees to only 6 points while scoring 17.
In the second quarter, the Shamrocks again held Bath to only 6 points, and St. Patrick took a 32-12 lead into halftime. Constant pressure by the Shamrock guards led to many steals and easy buckets.
Consistency was key in the third quarter, as again Bath was held to 6 points and the Shamrock offense scored 10. This left St. Patrick leading 42-18 after three quarters of play.
The fourth quarter was a defensive game, with the final score being 49-19.
Leaders for the Shamrocks were the Mara Schrauben with 13 points 9 rebounds and 5 steals, Lydia Meredith with 10 points 8 rebounds 4 assists and 5 steals, and Katelyn Russell with 11 points 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
St. Patrick plays tonight at home against Potterville. Potterville is 0-1 after losing 41-40 to Bath.
